Hi, I'm Anthony.
Songwriter, gigging musician, and your new favorite excuse to finally pick up that guitar.
You might have heard me playing around Central Oregon or busking downtown. I remember how frustrating it was to learn alone, so I teach the way I wish someone had taught me: real songs from day one, plain language, and a lot of encouragement.
Good questions.
Do I need my own guitar?
Yes, but it doesn't need to be fancy. If you don't have one yet, I'll help you pick something good that fits your budget.
Acoustic or electric?
Either. Most beginners start on acoustic, but play whatever makes you want to pick it up.
Am I too old to start?
No. Adults learn fast because they practice on purpose. Lots of people pick it up for the first time as adults.
Do you teach kids?
Teens are welcome. For younger kids, send me a note and we'll see if it's a good fit.
How much should I practice?
Ten to fifteen minutes most days beats one long session a week. I'll give you a short plan after every lesson.
What if I need to cancel?
Give me 24 hours' notice and we'll reschedule. Monthly plans can be cancelled any time.
Are online lessons as good?
For beginners and songwriting, yes. You learn on your own couch, and there's no travel for either of us.
How do I pay?
Venmo, Zelle, cash or card. Monthly plans are paid at the start of each month.
